Executive Team: Operations & Advocacy
Michael is part of the Executive Team and leads on all things related to operations and advocacy. On the Operations side, he leads the fantastic operations team in everything it takes to feed our service users. From procurement of the food to make the meal packs, to ensuring the meal packs are delivered across the city of Edinburgh and everything in between. The Advocacy part of the role currently involves working alongside partners and partnerships in the third, public and private sectors to ensure Edinburgh is tackling food insecurity in all its forms head on. Before joining EKFH in its early days, Michael worked as a chef for more than 20 years and spent the best part of a decade living in Spain, while there he spent a few years working at the internationally acclaimed Celler de Can Roca restaurant, which won best restaurant in the world twice while he was working there. Additionally, in 2020 Michael graduated from an Msc in Gastronomy at QMU.
